Mild Curry Mix
I often make my own spice mixes, and keep them in airtight containers in the pantry, ready to go. We love this Mild Curry Mix and use it quite often.
Making your own spice mixes gives you complete control over the ingredients (many spice mixes contain sugar, starches and other fillers), and is often cheaper than buying it ready-mixed.
This is a versatile, mild and family-friendly curry spice mix, as used in my chicken and vegetable curry. Use ground spices, or whole spices and grind in mortar and pestle.
Mild Curry Mix
Ingredients:
- 6 T turmeric
- 4 T coriander
- 4 T cumin
- 1 t ginger
- 1 t paprika
- 1 t cinnamon
- 1/2 t cloves
- 1/2 t nutmeg
Method:
- Combine all the ingredients
- Store in an airtight container in a dark, cool place for up to 6 months
